Marie Imogene Jenkins Blackmon, 82, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at her residence.
A native of Delano, Tn., she had lived in the Chickamauga area for the past 60 years and was formerly of Chattanooga. She was a former employee of Hutcheson Medical Center where she worked for 11 years and was a member of the Chickamauga Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Eugene Blackmon; parents, Ernest Henry and Maggie Sisson Jenkins; granddaughter, Lori Marie Blackmon; and two brothers, Jerry Jenkins and Marvin L. Jenkins. She is survived by three children, Alvin Ray (Marlene) Blackmon of Chickamauga. Pam (Leland) Johnson of Chickamauga, and Larry (Lisa) Blackmon of Chickamauga; three sisters, Joyce Smith of Tunnel Hill, Balma Blackmon of Trion, and Caroldean Jenkins of Ringgold; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Chickamauga City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
