Gross, Mildred Brady (Dalton)

Mildred Brady Gross, 90, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Holt Gross, Sr.; brother, James Madison Brady, Jr.; and three sisters, Leona Ellenberger, Nellie Nale and Gertrude Kline.

She was a teacher in Pinellas County, FL for over 30 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where she attended the Golden Age Group and prior to moving to Dalton in 2002, she attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, FL.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Stephen Roberts of Tallahassee, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Albert Holt, Jr. and Karen Gross of Dalton; grandchildren, Albert Holt Gross, III, Kevin Brady Roberts, Jennifer Louise Burger and Haley Jean Roberts; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 27, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens, Dalton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton GA 30721.

Julian Peeples Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
