Fire Destroys Vacant House On Kelly's Ferry Road

No injuries were reported in connection with a vacant house fire early Wednesday morning in Lookout Valley.

The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 4:37 a.m. and responded to 3602 Kelly's Ferry Road with five fire companies. Battalion Chief Chris Willmore said it took the firefighters less than 20 minutes to get the blaze under control. 

Chief Willmore said the house was considered a total loss, with damages estimated at $67,000.
The house has been vacant for several years. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
 
Chattanooga Police and Hamilton County EMS also provided assistance on the scene.
