Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies Receive K-9 Vests Through Donation

  • Monday, July 11, 2016
The AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation in association with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Soddy Daisy Police Department, Collegedale Police Department, and the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office hosted a joint press conference at the Hamilton County River Park to honor and recognize the Miller family and the Miller Family Foundation for their generous donation of 12 new bullet-proof vests for local law enforcement canines.

Members of the Miller family were on hand for the occasion.

These new bullet-proof K-9 vests will increase the safety and capabilities of our local law enforcement canines in dangerous situations while performing their daily duties along with their human counterpart (handler).

The total monetary donation given by the Miller Family Foundation for the vests was $12,000.

Local law enforcement agencies and K-9 personnel were on hand to accept the new vests from members of the Miller family.

The breakdown below shows which agency received vests and how many:

Bradley County Sheriff’s Office – 4
Collegedale Police Department – 2
Soddy Daisy Police Department – 2
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office – 4

The Miller Family Foundation is associated with local Chattanooga business, Miller Industries. Miller Industries is the premier producer of quality commercial and military grade wreckers in the United States.

The HCSO would like to extend its appreciation to the Hamilton County Park Rangers for their assistance with the logistics and organization of Monday’s event.
