James Edwards, 45, was arrested on Sunday after police said he drove off of the road to hit victim Derek Gray on May 16.

Mr. Gray told officers that he and the suspect were having a verbal altercation at his house when things became heated. He said Edwards pulled out a knife and threatened him, so he immediately left on his bicycle.

However, a few moments later, the victim told police, he saw Edwards’s green Dodge Durango coming towards him.

He said the suspect drove up onto the sidewalk to hit him with his vehicle and then left him there injured, fleeing the scene.
