Chattanooga Century Cycling Set For Aug. 6

Prison Prevention Ministries is holding the 3rd annual Chattanooga Century Cycling and 5k/8k running events on Saturday, Aug. 6, at Coahulla Creek High School, 3361 Crow Road NE, in Dalton.  

The cycling event starts at 8 a.m. and offers routes of 35 mile/ 68 mile/ and 100 mile rides, all chip timed.  

The running event is also chipped timed and will be starting at 8:30 a.m.  

Participants may enter a combo ride/run for IronMan training.

The prevention program schedules and provides prison tours for at-risk kids in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia, showing them the consequences of poor choices, drug use and gang-life.

Serving as role models and mentors, the staff encourages students to stay in school, make wise choices and become productive citizens.
