Lane Closure On Georgia Avenue

  • Friday, July 29, 2016

Southbound Georgia Avenue will be closed between East 8th Street and Patten Parkway for utility construction beginning Monday at 9 a.m.   Southbound traffic will be detoured east onto East 8th Street then south on Lindsay Street to ML King Boulevard.   This phase of the project is scheduled for four weeks, when Georgia Avenue southbound will reopen to one lane.

Motorists not having business in the 800 block of Georgia Avenue should consider alternate routes using eastbound McCallie Avenue to southbound Lindsay Street or westbound 7th Street to southbound Market Street.
