Support Campaign For Chattanooga Police Officers To Deliver Items Wednesday

  • Tuesday, July 5, 2016

Harvest Bible Chapel Chattanooga, WMBW/Moody Radio Southeast and Pierce Law Firm teamed together in June to solicit donations of items to show the city’s support for the hard-working Chattanooga Police Department officers.   Thousands of items were received, including more than 800 reusable water bottles, hundreds of bottles of water and sports drinks, 350 cooling towels, 500+ special gloves that block absorption of fentanyl, hundreds of restaurant certificates, and many, many snack items.

Last week, Harvest Bible Chapel members and employees of Pierce Law Firm gathered to sort the donations and place the smaller items into 400 individual “personal bags” to be distributed to individual officers.

The items will be delivered to the officers Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Police Services Center on Amnicola.

Companies in the Chattanooga area which have made donations to the Chattanooga police officers include: Chick Fil-A in Hixson, Jake Marshall Service, Inc., Net Specialties, Zaxby’s, Top Flight, Wrigleys, Chattanooga Bakery, First Tennessee Bank, Pepsi Bottling Group, Chattanooga Premier Mobile Tire Store and Ergodyne.

Neither the Police Department nor any of its officers are involved in this solicitation, and it comes solely and directly from the community sponsors.
