Cleveland State Students Work On Cleaning Up The Cleveland Greenway

  • Saturday, August 13, 2016
The Cleveland/Bradley Greenway got a late summer cleanup Saturday, thanks to some Cleveland State Community College students.

Dozens of young Cleveland State students walked sections of the greenway along Mouse Creek from Mohawk Drive on the north end to Willow Street on the south end. The project was coordinated through Cleveland State's Service-Learning Program, Cleveland/Bradley Keep America Beautiful, Cleveland Stormwater Division and Bradley County Stormwater Office.

For the students, the litter pickup project met part of the community service requirement for Tennessee Promise.
Cleveland/Bradley KAB volunteers set up four stations along the greenway to assist the students. The city provided gloves, trash bags, pickup sticks and other work items.
