Bobby Burrell
Bobby Eugene Burrell, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that happened on June 1, 2016.
Bobby was born in Chattanooga on March 15, 1930. He served our country in the U.S. Army.
He retired from the City of Chattanooga Police Department in 1984 after 29 1/2 years of service. In 1986 he went to work for the Hamilton County Clerk’s Office as a License Enforcement Officer and retired after 29 ½ years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray L. and Thelma Townsand Burrell, brother-in-law, Phil Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Charlotte Davis Burrell; brothers, Ronald Burrell and Kendall Burrell; sister-in-laws, Theresa Davis and Karlyn Sue Meier; special niece and nephew, Fran (Scott) Robertson and Tony (Mary) Davis.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. David King officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Bill Knowles, Ralph Winston, Rodney Davis, Leonard Clark and Paul Phillips.
