GDOL To Help Nissin Brake Recruit In LaFayette

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Nissin Brake recruit about 40 full-time manufacturing employees to work in LaFayette.

The recruitment will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the LaFayette Housing Authority located at 300 Oak St. GDOL staff will be on site to help screen applicants.

The employer is recruiting casting technicians, quality managers and machine operators.  

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSH) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), is required.

While it is not required, the employer prefers at least three years of experience, along with applicants who are able to lift 40 pounds, stand for eight hours, climb stairs and other physical demands, and work in hot environments. Saturday shifts may sometimes be required.

Chosen applicants will be required to pass a drug screening and background check.

Salaries will range from $10.70 to $21 an hour, depending on position and experience.

Applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
