Steve Wallace Stewart, 65, of Benton, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his residence.

He loved to hunt and fish.  He worked at Maytag for 43 years but couldn’t wait to come home and be with his family.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Stewart; son, Steve Franklin Stewart; parents, Tom and Lizzie Cronan Stewart; brothers, Gilbert Stewart, Gordon Stewart; and sister, Brenda Stewart.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Jada) Stewart and Brad Stewart; daughters, Derida (Jackie) Waters and Kim Leamon; grandchildren, Lance, Libby and Gracilyn Stewart, Whitney Troy, Adam, Drake, Landen and Caden Willis; 3 great three great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Deloris) Stewart and Stanley Stewart; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Daniel White and Reverend Homer Roberts officiating.  Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Stewart, Wade Owens, Adam Keith, Jeremy Cartwright, Caleb Cherry and Erick Keith.   

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
