Alice Powers Dycus, 73, of Ringgold and Cohutta, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Betty Powers; father & mother-in-law, Dewey & Gladys Dycus; and daughter-in-law, Denise Dycus.
She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Bill Dycus of the residence; daughter, Jessica Dycus of Ringgold; son & daughter-in-law, Wilborn & Cindy Dycus of Ringgold; brother, Danny Powers of Ringgold; grandchildren, Lucas and Jared Kirkpatrick, Ansley Dycus, David and Mary Kate Dycus, Ashley Cannon, Jordyn Duke, Kristen and Tony Stewart and Rachel Jones; four great-grandchildren with number 5 on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. at the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, 1721 Smith Chapel Rd. Tunnel Hill, GA with Rev. Jim Reilly and Rev. Dennis Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Smith Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 6-9 p.m.
