Kenneth Lamar Johnson
Kenneth Lamar “Bubba” Johnson, 52, of Rossville, died on August 29, 2016 at his home.
Lamar was a lifelong resident of the Fort Oglethorpe and Rossville area. He had worked as a truck driver at Volunteer Express and attended the North Georgia Worship Center. His passions in life were his family, camping, fishing, cooking, going to flea markets and yard sales, and he was known for his sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Johnson; mother, Barbara Ritchie; and wife, Schlinda Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Johnson, children, Jason Johnson of Fort Oglethorpe and Crystal Johnson of Fort Oglethorpe; step-son, Charles Patterson of Tiftonia; step-dad, Tony Ritchie of Fort Oglethorpe; sister, Annette (Rocky) Sanders of Rossville; brothers, Toney (Renee) Ritchie of E. Ridge and Buddy (Pam) Johnson of Ringgold; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Nick Forshee officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
