William Lawrence "Larry" Brunson, 74, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Friday September 23, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father L.A. Brunson, Jr.; mother and step-father, Neal and Grace Ledford; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Brunson, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Powell, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Bobby Carlock.
Larry was a 1959 graduate of Dalton High School; he attended Berry College in Rome, GA and Southern Tech in Marietta, GA. Larry served in the United States Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Chatsworth, he co-owned Preferred Tufting in Dalton, and was a member of the Dalton Amateur Radio Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Charlotte Lively Brunson of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Kim Brunson and Kevin and Cindy Brunson all of Dalton; sister Diane Carlock of Rock Springs, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Lively of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Emily Brunson and Christian Brunson; nephew, Brian and Kim Carlock of Rock Springs; great-nephews, Tristan, Seth and Christian Carlock; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
The family would like to thank Hamilton Hospice for their care and compassion.
At Larry’s request no funeral services are planned. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 4-8 p.m.
