Ruth Stokes Foote, 73, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Saturday 24, 2016.
Ruth was born on Dec. 28, 1942, to the late Orlando and Zillie Stokes. She was a member of Rossville Church of God where she is known as a great worker in the church always helping others anyway she could in their time of need. She loved her family, cooking, and her cats.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthell “Bud” Stokes.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harlen Foote, daughter, Cindy (Ira) Goolsby, son, Daryl Foote, brothers, Roger Dale Stokes and Harvey Stokes, sister, Wanda Morris, grandchildren, Danielle Goolsby, Sara Goolsby, Eli Foote, and Avery Foote, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Jr. “James” Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at New McDonald Cemetery.
