Dorothy “Dot” Wade, 86, Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. 

Dot was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.  She was a long time member of the Chattanooga Musicians Union Local 80.  Dot was a member of First Lutheran Church and a former state officer in the Daughters of American Colonists. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam M. Wade; parents, Arthur L. Healan Sr. and Ruby Shoffner Healan; and brothers, Arthur L. Healan Jr. and Edward Healan. 

Dot is survived by daughters, Linda Wade Gettle, Cartersville, Ga., Nancy Wade, Chattanooga, and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Ridge Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
