Velma Ruth Dunsmore, 68, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Friday, January 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Velma was born July 24, 1948 in Dalton, GA to the late Garvin Patterson and Rhoda Watkins Patterson; and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Mae Dunsmore; sister, Bonnie Amos; and brother, Lonnie Patterson.
Mrs. Velma Ruth Dunsmore is survived by her husband, Robert Dunsmore; daughter, Robin Dunsmore; nieces, Rebecca Weldon and Donna Stevens; nephew, Roger Patterson; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Velma Ruth Dunsmore will be held Sunday, January 15, at 1 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel withRonald Guffey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Underwood Cemetery in Cherry Log, GA with Kyle Stevens, Brandon Weldon, MarkWeldon, Brett Amos, Colty Parker, Roger Patterson, Mike Watkins and Randy Watkins serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, from Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4-9 p.m.
