Lorena Cooper Brown, 90, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, January 15, 2017. 


She was born in Lynch, KY, on Oct. 19, to Virgie and Burl Cooper.

Lorena spent 37 years working at Quaker Oats Company in Chattanooga.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rufus Brown; her brothers, JD Cooper, Wayne Cooper Darrell Ray Cooper, Glen Cooper; her sister, Shirley Cooper; and her daughter Robbie Hancock.

Survivors are two sisters, Bobbye Kemmer of Crossville, Linda Schuiten of Cookeville; one son, Roger (Marilyn) Brown of Olive Branch, MS, as well as eight grandchildren, Lisa (Christian) Bennett of Chattanooga, Roger Brown Jr. of Boston, Chris (Karen) Brown of Olive Branch, Matt Ryan of Olive Branch, MS, Sean (Angela) Poole of Soddy Daisy, Jason Brown, Olive Branch, Jennifer (Carson) Kemp of Knoxville, and Lindsay (Robert) Elliott of Pleasant View, TN.  She had nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and lots of beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation is on Friday, Jan. 20, from 11a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel on Highway 153. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
