Brenda Greeson Whitmire, 70, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tac and Lou Greeson; brother, Kenneth Greeson; sister-in-law, Ann Epperson; and a nephew, Barry Greeson.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jerry Whitmire of Dalton; daughter, Vickie Amos of Rocky Face; step-daughter, Kim (Craig) Braswell of Chattanooga; three granddaughters she raised as her own, Beth (Solomon) Douhne, Tara (Brandon) Sane and Amber Amos all of Dalton; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wilson and Nick Wilson both of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Zander Douhne, Abram Douhne, Jaden Poteet, Analeigh Poteet, Braelynne Sane, Asher Amos and Oliver Amos all of Dalton; nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Nancy McCurdy of Tunnel Hill.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 20 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
