Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus Council 14079 of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy, was formed in 2006.  Their first year in operation, they raised just over $400 for Catholic Charities and support of Catholic priests.  The donations for 2015 totaled nearly $9,800.

"This year, we are excited to have raised $2,000 from our 2016 Fall Pork Butt Smoke sale for Northside Neighborhood House. Knights started seasoning and smoking pork butts at 5 a.m. on a Friday morning in October.
The smoking continued throughout the day and night ending the next morning.  Saturday the pork butts and smoker were brought to the Soddy Daisy Community National Bank, where the sale of the smoked meat commenced.  We were sold out within 24 hours.

"The Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus are thankful for the support we have within our church and community.  We are proud to help the Northside Neighborhood House with their outreach and know the funds raised will benefit many individuals and families within our community," officials said.
