Mocs Win Big Over Furman , 80-64

-The trio of Johnathan Burroughs-Cook, Justin Tuoyo and Greg Pryor combined for 47 points in the Chattanooga Mocs 80-64 win over Furman Saturday in McKenzie Arena. It was the first league loss for the Paladins.
 
The Mocs came out of halftime up six, 35-29, but the visitors slowly chipped away at the advantage. Devin Sibley tied the game at 40-all with a three at 16:09. He gave his squad the lead 43 seconds later on a drive to the basket.
 
Rodney Chatman knotted the score at 42 with two free throws on the next possession.
Makinde London followed with a layup a minute later to swing the lead back to the Mocs. The two teams swapped turnovers before Daniel Fowler drilled a triple to wrestle the lead back to 45-44 Furman.
 
London had the answer 17 seconds later. He sparked an 11-0 run with a 3pt from the right side of the key. The 2:18 spurt ended with London calmly sinking two free throws. The Paladins never got closer than seven the rest of the way.
 
Pryor had three points before the start of the run. He scored 10 points over two-plus minutes with the game in the balance. He ended up with 13 on a perfect shooting night making all four shots, three from three, and two free throws.
 
Burroughs-Cook scored a season-high 19 with 13 pivotal first-half points. Tuoyo added 15 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. London and Casey Jones each had nine points with Jones’ 3pt with 4:30 to go serving as the dagger.
 
The Paladins received a fantastic performance from Devin Sibley. He scored 25 leading a visiting trio that combined for 55 of their 64 points. Kris Acox chipped in 18 points and six boards, while Fowler contributed 12 points and six assists.
