McKnight, William "Bill" Eugene (Charleston)
William “Bill” Eugene McKnight, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at a local hospital.
He was born August 12, 1930 to William Tellas and Lillian King McKnight in Charleston, Tn. William lived a simple life and was a good example of keeping it uncomplicated. He was a very relational person who loved people and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William Tellas and Lillian King McKnight; brother, Stewart Jackson McKnight; sister-in-law, Polly McKnight; uncle, George Johnson McKnight, Sr.; cousin, George Johnson McKnight, Jr.; and niece, Vonnie McKnight.
He is survived by his aunt, Barbara S. McKnight; cousin, Reese J. McKnight and his family, wife, Patricia McKnight, and children, Jason R. McKnight, Gregory G. McKnight (Lauren), and Austin McKnight; and great niece, Christy Wilson and her family, husband, Dale Wilson and child Austin Wilson.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with the Bishop Ron Lesley officiating. Interment will follow in the Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun, Tn.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, at the funeral home.
