Marvin Allen Turner, 81, departed this life on September 26, 2017.

A native of Chattanooga, he was the oldest of three children born to Carl Turner and Anna Lee Slack.  He graduated from Chattanooga Central High School in 1953 and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1958.

He retired from DuPont after 35 years of service in 1992.  He then had a second career consulting with companies around the world.  Marv was an avid golfer, loved all sports, bridge and was a talented musician.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Paula Altman Turner, daughters, Nina (Jody Evans) Turner and Lisa (Ben Mundie) Turner; grandchildren, Madison Mundie, Nolan Mundie and James Evans Turner; brother, Gary (Sarah) Turner, and sister, Lenda Atkins; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2–4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at Hamilton Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Alexian Village Health care for their kindness and dedication during his brief stay.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ATV Healthcare Scholarship fund.
