President Donald Trump on Sunday tweeted that Senator Bob Corker "didn't have the guts" to run for re-election without his endorsement.
In a series of highly critical tweets, he said the former Chattanooga mayor begged him for his support, but he said he told him "NO THANKS."
He said Senator Corker decided not to run because he (Trump) would not endorse him. He said Senator Corker said he could not win without his support.
President Trump also said Senator Corker wanted to be Secretary of State.
He said he also told him No to that, saying he "is largely responsible for the horrendous Iran deal."
He said he "fully expects Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda."
Senator Corker had this tweet in response, "It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning."
Senator Corker earlier was critical of President Trump, saying he needed to act more presidential.
