Stella Ann Simmons, 74, of Chickamauga, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 surrounded by her family. She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She had previously worked as a cashier at many local convenience stores and truly enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife and mother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Lamar Simmons, who passed away serving our country during Vietnam.
Survivors include her daughter, Kasey Canfield (Adam Koetsch) of Chickamauga; brother, Johnny (Janet) Ingram of LaFayette; sisters, Pauline (Bill) Higdon, Betty (Kenneth) Russell and Tammy Graham, all of Chickamauga; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
