Billy Huskey
Billy Randolph Huskey, 84, of East Ridge, died on Saturday, December 9, 2017, surrounded by loved ones at the Rosewood in Fort Oglethorpe.
Billy was born on Nov. 26, 1933, in Dalton, to the late Isaac Bennie Huskey and Nora Mae Huskey. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Lois Dean Huskey; brothers Lawrence, Earl, Raymond, and William (Dub); sisters Lura, Iva, Cora Mae, Agnes, Ethel, Pauline, Betty Jo, and Vivian.
Billy served in the Military Police Corps of the U.S. Army. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for over 50 years. After retiring from the sheet metal industry, he worked at United Parcel Service for 10 years.
Survivors include two children - son, Jerry Huskey and wife Debra; daughter, Jenny Smart and husband David; grandchildren, Davey, Briana, Samuel, Christian, and Lucretia; one great-grandson, Elias; sister Helen Davis, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Mathew Vandergriff officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
