Virginia Miller
Virginia Mae Waddell Miller, 89, of Red Bank, Tennessee passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017.
Virginia was a lifelong Red Bank resident and member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She would often say that she was a member since she was on the cradle roll. She was especially fond of the Welch Baker Sunday School Class, where she played the piano for many years. She sang in the choir for over 40 years. She and her husband were the owners of Ben Miller Beauty Supply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Miller; parents, Marshall and Edna Waddell and her brother, Marshall Waddell.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Ken) Helton, and Alecia (Steven) Poe; son, Ben (Patricia) Miller; nine grandchildren, Paula (Scott) Daves, Kate Helton, Wes (Jennifer) Helton, Shelby Poe, Sydney Poe, Cade Poe, Jason (Sarah) Lawhorn, Hunter, (Elizabeth) Lawhorn and Jessica Miller, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Fred Steelman officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church or Avalon Hospice.
