The Bessie Smith Cultural Center was the destination of choice for residents at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer's Center of Excellence, Chattanooga.

In honor of Black History Month, the seniors at the memory care community wanted to take in the museum's rich history, while exploring the two newest exhibits, "Celebration of a Dream" and "Chattanooga, Tennessee's Gateway to the Underground Railroad" -- on display until April 30

Through outings to local attractions and sites, Morning Pointe's Meaningful Day program gives residents endless opportunities to embrace the history and culture of the Chattanooga area.
