Ella Kliger Joins The Agency Relations Team For The Chattanooga Area Food Bank

  • Tuesday, March 21, 2017

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank announced the hiring of Ella Kliger as an agency relations coordinator on the Programs Team, effective March 13.  Ms. Kliger will oversee partner agency relations in 10 rural counties of Southeast Tennessee.

A native of Massachusetts, Ms. Kliger graduated with a bachelor of science degree in communications and political science from Tulane University. She joins the Chattanooga Area Food Bank with over six years of industry experience, serving as the western outreach specialist for MANNA Food Bank in Asheville, NC. There, she helped to strengthen MANNA’s network in the six westernmost counties of North Carolina. She also educated clients in accessing resources, and worked at bringing together individuals, volunteers, non-profits, and business leaders in making the community more aware of how hunger impacts neighbors in need.

Ms. Kliger will be assuming the service area formerly managed by Laura Kilpatrick, who was promoted to the director of agency and government relations for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.

“We are fortunate to add Ella’s experience to our Agency Relations Team,” said Ms. Kilpatrick. “Her dedicated work in the rural counties in Western North Carolina will be a great asset to the communities that she will now serve in rural Tennessee.”
