Ricky Dean "Piccolo" Nicholson, 55, of Meigs County, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Ricky was a well known logger. Ricky was a member of Graceway Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his father James Henery Nicholson; two brothers James Allen & Richard Edward Nicholson; and one sister Donna Sue Nicholson.

He is survived by his mother Patsy Ann Nicholson; one sister and brother-in-law Kathy & Marvin Bowman; one brother and sister-in-law Terry Dewayne and Gina Nicholson; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, March 25, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Pearson, Rev. Roger Roark and Sharon Coffee officiating. Interment will follow in McClanahan Cemetery in Birchwood with Richard Wilson, Steve Stokes, Claude Whitener, Jody Gann, John McKinney, Jacky Combs, Tyler Crisp, Robert Ledford and Danny Green serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday.

Companion Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
