Fee Free Weekends At Point Park During National Park Week April 15, 16, 22, And 23

  • Wednesday, March 29, 2017

In celebration of National Park Week, on the weekends of April 15 - 16 and April 22 – 23, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is waiving the entrance fee to Point Park, atop historic Lookout Mountain.

Come to Point Park and enjoy the beautiful views of Chattanooga and its surrounding areas. These fee free weekends provide an opportunity for visitors to learn a little history about the Battle of Lookout Mountain while enjoying one of the country’s oldest national parks.

During the weekend, ranger-guided walking tours are given at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. These tours begin just inside the Point Park entrance gate and last approximately 45 minutes.

For more information about Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, please contact the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center at 706-866-9241, the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center at 423 821-7786, or visit the park’s website at www.nps.gov/chch.
