Historian And Author To Speak At Bachman Community Center April 29

Bachman Community Center announces historian and author James Douthat will speak at their auditorium, 2815 Anderson Pike in Signal Mountain, on Saturday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m.

"Reverend Douthat is a wealth of historical knowledge regarding early settlements of Walden’s Ridge, which today includes the towns of Walden and Signal Mountain.  Join us to hear the history of notable places and events that took place along this ridge of the Cumberland Plateau.  

"Reverend Douthat will discuss and answer questions regarding numerous facets of early settlement including pioneer schools and community buildings, founding families, and well-known landmarks.  Join us for this special free presentation.

"Also on this day, BCC is hosting our annual Home and Garden Show featuring local vendors of unique items, and the Lions Club of Signal Mountain will be selling lunch hot off the grill starting at 11 a.m." officials said.
