Life Care Center Of Collegedale Earns Deficiency-Free State Survey

  • Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Life Care Center of Collegedale, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, achieved a deficiency-free state survey.

To pass the state survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. These survey visits are unannounced and address not only nursing care and resident safety, but also patients’ rights, food services, administration and the facility’s environment. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.

The average number of deficiencies in Tennessee is five, with the average nationwide currently at seven.

“The team here at Life Care Center of Collegedale is extraordinary and deserves every bit of praise for the wonderful survey outcome,” said Ben Stiefel, executive director.

“I believe that our survey success is a direct result of the quality control systems and processes that we utilize daily along with the efforts of our wonderful, caring staff.”

State surveyors visited Life Care Center of Collegedale from Jan. 30 – Feb. 1.
