Garry Smith
Garry Ray Smith, 60, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer football fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, George R. Smith, and his grandparents, Ernest and Tennie Smith and Samuel and Ruth Allen.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Smith, of Ooltewah; brother, Larry (Lynda) Smith, of Georgetown; sisters, Pam Boswell, of Providence, North Carolina, Rhonda (Wayne) Adams, of Harrison and Vickie (Rodney) Wolfe, of Ooltewah; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, one great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Kelly and Richard McKeehan will be officiating. Interment will follow at New McDonald Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Adams, Scott Smith, Jason Tankersley, Jason Hodges, Mason Killingsworth, Brian Killingsworth and Robert Hardin. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Bailey and Kerry Murray.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avalon Hospice.
