The Mountain Stewards are sponsoring a Recycle Challenge between Nolan and Thrasher elementary schools this Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Signal Mountain Recycling Center to celebrate Earth Day. To participate, visit the Recycle Center this Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and sign in for either Thrasher or Nolan elementary school. At the end of the day judges will tally which school and which class in each grade has the most recyclers.
Donations for Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, the Gear Closet and the Clothes House will also be accepted. ReStore accepts just about anything in your garage plus furniture and household goods. The Gear Closet accepts used outdoor gear for water and snow sports, rock climbing, camping and backpacking and more. The Clothes House accepts clothing, household goods, toys and furniture. It’s the perfect opportunity to clean out your garage, your basement and your closets!
