BlueCare Tennessee Hosts Spring Into Health Block Party April 29

BlueCare Tennessee has partnered with Chattanooga area church leaders to host a Spring Into Health block party on Saturday, April 29 from noon till 3 p.m. at New Horizon Baptist Church.

The event, which is free and open to the public, offers a variety of health and wellness activities such as blood pressure readings. Additional screenings for vision and well-child checks including immunizations will be available for attendees showing their insurance ID card.

Guests can also attend a diabetic cooking class and a variety of health-related discussions on topics like smoking cessation and coping with chronic or emergent health conditions such as diabetes and breast cancer. 

This family-friendly event offers Zumba classes, kids’ activities and a mini health fair with representatives from community organizations such as the American Lung Association. Attendees can register at the event for drawings including gift cards, an e-reader and an XboxTM game system. Light refreshments will be provided.
