Helen Louise Stephenson, 76, a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. William G. and Louise B. Stephenson. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School at Sewanee Tennessee and a member First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga.
She is survived by two sons, John (Sherry) Ellish of Ringgold, Georgia and Steve Ellish of Fort Worth Tx.; a daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Hooper of Ringgold; five grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Crystal, Becky and Erica; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah (Charles J.) Strain of Chattanooga Valley, and Harriett (Robert J.) Berman of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Robert Row officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road, East Ridge.
