Thomas Bennett Jackson, 81, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in a local hospital.

He was a distinguished veteran of the United States Navy serving our country for over 25 years. Mr. Jackson had lived in Soddy-Daisy for the past 17 years and was of the Baptist faith. Our beloved Papa was the foundation our family was raised on, and he will forever live in our hearts. “Family is the Rock.”

Thomas is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lucille C. Jackson; daughters, Catherine Carson and Helenoel Brodersen; son-in-law, Thomas Carson, Jr.; grandsons, Jason Carson, Dustin Carson, Devon Carson and Aaron Harmon; granddaughters, Julia (Carson) Harmon, Katherine Brodersen and Tammy Carson; great-grandson Thomas Carson III; great-granddaughters, Patsy Jo Carson and Chesney Carson.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 26, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Deborah Dickerson officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, in Hamilton County Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 4–5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
