Black, Nora R. Bradford (Etowah)

Nora R. Bradford Black, 69, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Black; parents, Willie and Essie Ghorley Bradford; siblings, Christine Hicks, Leon Bradford, Evelyn Flowers, Freddie Bradford, William Bradford, Ruby Harbison, Neil Bradford and Carl Bradford.

She is survived by her children, Tammy (David) Jones of Old Fort, TN, Timothy (Sharleen) Black of Etowah, TN, Mark Black of Florida; sister, Bettie (Floyd) Eaves of Benton, TN; brothers, Claude (Phyllis) Bradford of Delano, TN, Harley (Judy) Bradford of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren, Nick Black, Whitney Cross, Gypsy Savage, Tyler Black, Chase Jones, Dalton Jones, Michael Black, Trinity Wilcox, Heather Black; great-grandson, Xavier Black.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.   

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 29, at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN.  Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Baptist Church Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.    

The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, at Higgins Funeral Home.
