Florence K. Wade, age 97 of Dalton, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at Tranquility of Dalton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Wade, Sr.; sons, Gerald Grant Wade and George Christopher Wade; sisters, Ann Hopper, Ora Lovin, Martha Wimpey, Frances Ellison and Maxine Crow; and brothers, Floyd Kephart and Ray Kephart.
She was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and Kenneth Witherow of Dalton and Cindy Wade of Asheville, N.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, Hershel, Jr. and Betty Wade of Dalton and Larry and Lynn Wade of Bradenton, Fl.; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Barbara Kephart of Dalton; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Wade will be Wednesday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Walker officiating.
Burial will be in Grove Level Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Morris St. Dalton, GA 30721, or to Avalon Hospice, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr. Chattanooga, TN 37421.
