Eula Akers Lansford, 82, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
A native of Newport, Ky., she has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 51 years and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice C. Akers; daughter, Sami Dee Gaines; parents, Samuel Edward and Eva Akemon Adams; and four siblings.
She is survived by six children, Denise (Ken) Pitts of Ringgold, Dianna (Larry) Plunkett of Chickamauga, Donna (Tim Scott) Swindall of Rock Spring, Danny (Diane) Akers of Rossville, Donald “J” Akers of Rossville, and Donita (David) Rollan of Ringgold; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, June 30, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Vincent Estill officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
