Chattanooga Area Historical Association Meets On Saturday

The Chattanooga Area Historical Association will meet at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at 10 Audobon Acres.

Visitors can wander around the property and/or enjoy the visitor center where they will learn about the people and animals who have lived along Chickamauga Creek. They will see Indian artifacts and items from early settlers. 

Audobon Acres is home to the C.F. Blevins Avian Jewels Collection, which includes exact replicas of eggs of over 1100 species of birds. Officials said, "This property is a jewel in the heart of a busy noisy city; come join us for a few minutes in a sanctuary of beauty and peace that should not be missed."

Directions: I-75 to East Brainerd Road exit, go East to Gunbarrel Road, turn right, follow Gunbarrel Road until it turns is into North Sanctuary Road, continue on North Sanctuary Road to the Visitor Center.
