Jorena Shepherd Joyner, 68, of Rock Spring, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
She was the daughter of the late William Shepherd and Emma Polk Shepherd. Jorena was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and attended Oakwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 47 years, Larry Joyner of Rock Spring; daughter, Lindsey (Mac) McClure; sons, Greg (Joy) Joyner and Shannon Joyner all of Rock Spring; grandchildren, Blake Joyner, Brooke Joyner, Paxton McClure, Maya Joyner, Asa McClure, and Robee Joyner; sisters, ReGena Demere and Billie Schnider both of Macon, Ga., and DeAnn Borders of Byron, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at 381 Wood Station Road, Rock Spring, GA 30739 with Pastor Frank Kelley officiating.
Private interment will be in Rock Spring Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. on Friday, July 21, at the funeral home.
