Martha Jane Sewell, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, in a local health care facility.

Martha is the daughter of the late William Dexter and Alice Irene Brown. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents listed above, three sisters, Shirley Cross, Betty Shubert, and Johnny Watts; two brothers, Junior Watts and Curtis Watts. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmy Lee Sewell Sr., one daughter Tina Parris, 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, James Anderson, Eli Kidd, and Zander Harris. She is also survived by three sisters, Thelma Huskins, JoAnn Warren, and Annette Farrell; one brother, Freddy Watts; five stepchildren, Jimmy Lee Sewell Jr, Frankie Joe Sewell, Carol Annette Hunt, Rebecca Ann Sewell, Heather Dawn Sewell.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 21, from 5-7 p.m. at Jimmy and Martha’s home at 392 Oak Grove Road, Madisonville, Tn. 37354.
