Richard Gerald Tamplin, 95, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017

Richard was formerly of Lewisville, Texas and Bucklin, Mo. He served in the United States Marine Corp and is a World War II veteran from 1941-1945, Midway to Guadal Canal.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Beaudet Tamplin of 64 years; his parents; and two sisters.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Barbara J. Durkin of Hixson; son, Robert C. Hunt of California; several nieces, nephews, cousins, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chattanooga Area Food Bank, P.O. Box 630, Chattanooga, Tn. 37401.
