Prep Tennis: Red Bank's Daniel Cox to play at Carson-Newman

  • Tuesday, August 15, 2017

The 2017 Red Bank valedictorian and all-state tennis player Daniel Cox will attend Carson-Newman College in the fall as a walk-on player with the tennis program and has earned a partial academic scholarship.

Cox finished his prep tennis career this past spring as region singles champion and state semifinalist as well as scoring a 31 on the ACT and receiving numerous academic awards while at Red Bank.

"The deciding factors in choosing Carson-Newman was I like the campus and tennis coach and the school's strong academic programs and being close to Chattanooga.

" I enjoyed my high school years and now I am excited to face the challenges and opportunities of college and being on my own," said Cox.
