Jewell Cole Stansell, 93, of LaFayette passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.
She was a member of First Baptist Church LaFayette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Stansell; her parents, Haskel Harrison Cole and Ollie Burkett Cole; sisters, Edith Reed, Shirley Thompson, and DeEtta Bratton; and brothers, Clifford Cole, Wayne Cole, and Fred Cole.
She is survived by her sons, Charles (Sandra) Stansell of Chattanooga and Roger (Kathy) Stansell of LaFayette; grandchildren, Stephen (Stacy) Stansell, Leah (Drew) Sparks, Abbie (Blake) Austin, and Sara (Will) Clark; great grandchildren, Darcy Stansell, Hunter Daughtery, and Carter Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Weaver officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers are Mike Reed, Bobby Merritt, Bobby Neal, Larry Houston, Gary Thompson, and Kenneth McRae.
Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, from 5–8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
