Author Looking For Anyone Who Saw The Carter Sisters Perform

  • Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Hi, folks, this is Chester Martin, sometime contributor to the “MEMORIES” section of this newspaper. It seems that a gentleman from outside our immediate Chattanooga area is writing a new book about the Carter Sisters – famous entertainers from East Tennessee.

He wants to collect any anecdote or memories that you might have about them.

In my Fourth of July story I told how my mother had chatted with June Carter at Lake Winnie all one afternoon while she was not performing on stage.

Any such remembrance of that group, their repertoire, or venues would be appreciated.
