Roy Treiyer, Ethan McGrath, And Church Choir Have Concert At Brainerd Presbyterian Church

  • Monday, September 25, 2017
Roy Treiyer, Ethan McGrath and the church choir performed an hour-long concert for a substantial, appreciative Sunday afternoon audience at Brainerd Presbyterian Church.  Original compositions and new arrangements of familiar sacred songs and hymns were the repertory of the day.

Mr.
McGrath has recently returned from master's degree studies at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and is serving as interim organist at First Baptist Church. In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Covenant College and teaching private lessons, Mr. Treiyer serves as accompanist at Burks United Methodist Church and pianist at Brainerd Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Tom Hammett said, "Both Ethan and Roy have served as keyboard musicians at Brainerd Presbyterian where Roy presently plays each week.  They are two of the most extraordinary young musicians I have ever known, and each holds tremendous potential for world-class careers in music.  Chattanooga is fortunate to host two such talented musicians within our city."

The concert held the riveted attention of the entire audience for the entire hour and ten minutes.  The response of the audience was multiple standing ovations and calls for an encore.
